Sydney Goes Pink!
On February 27th, the Giant Condom returned to Sydney’s Hyde Park Obelisk, as part of ACON’s Stay Safe campaign. The 18-metre tall pink condom was erected to remind the community of the importance of condoms, as condoms remain one of the most effective ways to reduce risk of HIV transmission.
Bondi Beach was also turned pink as hundreds of inflatable rings were given out to beach-goers. Crowds enjoyed a sunny Saturday in the water with their condom-like inflatables, helping to spread the safe sex message and raise awareness amongst gay men about how they can help end HIV transmissions in NSW by 2020.
